MOTHER'S DAY IN YELLOWSTONE

Seven of the Terrace Residence went out for a Mother's Day Brunch at Pine Creek Cafe, and a very enjoyable time by all (as you can tell by the picture). We then took our time riding home and sight seeing on the way. Early evening CarolAnne and I headed out to LaMarr Valley looking for the wild life. We spotted on our adventures a beaver playing on the bank of the Yellowstone River,
Bison and their red dogs(lots more this year than last), pronghorn, elk, deer, wolf with coyote in his wake and a Black Bear..What a wonderful gift to see all this in one day at the park...

Enjoy the pictures.......

Day in the Park

On May 2, 3 locations in the park open for the season, and we awoke to snow on the ground, again!!!

I worked the weekend, and I now have 2 days off in a row. So this morning Karen, Jessica and I decided to go exploring in the park. We couldn't get over the snow in the higher elevations. The roads are clear, but not all the side roads. Took some great pictures for all of you to enjoy. I'm heading to Chico tomorrow for a soak in the Hot Springs and hoping to stop at the Old Saloon for
breakfast.
I am sitting in my room watching the elk returning to our area, they have been in the lower elevations for the winter, and finally returning as they can now graze in Mammoth.

Just got word from my youngest son Jeff that he is now a Firefighter working for the Fuquay Varina Fire Department. Good job, Jeff.......
